TFF Calls Out Fraudulent Comments
The government's public comment center—on Gov. Youngkin's parent-friendly revisions to the transgender-issue policies for public schools—is currently tallying over 55,000 responses, a record-setting amount. Comments for and against appear to be running neck-and-neck. But the Family Foundation noticed something interesting: LGBTQ activists and parental-rights opponents are using "stuff-the-ballot-box" mechanisms to skew the results.
For instance, Equality Virginia, a statewide LGBTQ activist group, recently alerted its followers that: "We understand that navigating to this page and potentially seeing comments with harmful language in support of the policy can be a negative or triggering experience for folks, which is why we’ve created our own Public Comment Portal where you can submit your comment instead, and we’ll upload it to the Town Hall page for you."
Wait a minute. This begs a couple of questions: First, how can anyone verify the authenticity of hundreds of comments being dumped into the system by a single source? And second, no one seems too concerned about actual kids in schools who experience much worse things than being "triggered" by a comment on a government site—such as young girls who've been assaulted by biological males in Virginia school bathrooms or kindergartners exposed to gender-confusion propaganda behind their parents' backs. Then there were the "shine the light on this terrible policy and governor" spammers or bots who frontloaded the comments early in the process. That's why it's vital for you to stay persistent and ensure the voices of parents and concerned citizens like yourselves are being fairly represented. If you haven't already, act now with the following steps:
1. Add your comment in support at: https://townhall.virginia.gov/L/comments.cfm?GDocForumID=1953
2. Share the comment link above with as many Virginian friends, family, coworkers and fellow church members as possible. You can also forward this email.
3. Get tips on what to say and more info on the issue at: familyfoundation.org/protecteverykid
Thank you for adding your voice. We are stronger when we speak together!
