TFF Action is Taking a Big Step to Take Virginia Back
It was only about two weeks ago that we witnessed a seismic political shift in Virginia with Democrats picking up enough seats to capture the majority in the Senate and House of Delegates. With control of all three statewide offices (Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General) and now the legislature, pro-abortion Democrats are chomping at the bit to turn Virginia into New York or California.
On the heels of a grueling and disappointing election, I know this may be difficult to hear, but in order to advance pro-life and pro-family values in the next election, we must begin laying the groundwork now!
That's why The Family Foundation Action isn’t wasting any time heading into the 2020 election! For our first action we retained Britton Ross to be our Campaign Manager to continue TFFA’s ground game for the next year. Britton is absolutely one of the sharpest and hardest working political consultants around, and she did an outstanding job coordinating TFF Action election activities this fall. This was a critical decision by the TFF Action Board that sends the message that we're committed to restoring pro-family values in Virginia, but it also requires a significant financial investment.

Britton will continue our election efforts into 2020 with a goal of bolstering the number of campaign volunteers so that we can register voters that will help us champion the values we share. Now is actually the ideal time to recruit new activists. The political Left is always in campaign mode, because they’ve realized that the battle for the prevailing worldview is continual, not just a few weeks leading up to November elections. It’s time we do the same.
Consider that, between the months of September and November, 49 election volunteers joined The Family Foundation Action’s efforts to champion pro-life candidates for office, 40 of which were brand new recruits, and during that time they knocked on 13,450 doors and made 13,721 calls. Those efforts helped us hold winnable precincts and close the gap in others in House Districts 31 and 72. Just imagine what the impact could be in the next election if we continue to build a well-trained volunteer army ready to register and educate voters!
Here’s just a few activities Britton is already planning for the 2020 elections that you can be part of:
Voter registration efforts at gun shows, camping and outdoor sportsman shows, Harley Davidson events, college campuses, libraries, and private businesses
Weekly phone banking and texting for those who prefer not to speak on the phone
Our first Massive Voter Registration Door knocking event on Saturday, December 7th along with Students for Life
A Pro-Life Lobby Day (TBA)
3 days of events leading up to March for Life Day, with opportunities for a Phone Bank-Texting Night and an email/letter writing night

But I can assure you that the Left wasn’t content with its election night results. Just as soon as the last piece of confetti dropped, they were strategizing to turn Virginia as dark blue as possible. During a post-election forum, Kristina Hagen, Executive Director for the Senate Democratic Caucus, said that had they known campaign contributions would increase by 600% from two years ago they could’ve contested more seats. I know with the holidays fast-approaching, your focus is rightly on family and celebrating all the blessings of God.
