The Legislative Session is Here!
Unlimited abortion enshrined into the state constitution, replacing Virginia’s marriage amendment with language that includes gender identity, permitting the sale of highly potent marijuana, buying and selling human embryos, and much more will all be issues that dominate the 2024 General Assembly this year, which convenes tomorrow.
Despite all the legislative challenges, we have a great opportunity this year to build new relationships with many new legislators in hopes of advancing good pro-family legislation. This year we have an outstanding team, led by our VP of Government Relations, Dr. Todd Gathje, who will all be advocating for pro-life and pro-family values on behalf of The Family Foundation all session long. This incredible team will track hundreds of bills, spend countless hours in committee rooms listening to and offering testimony, visiting legislators, and collaborating with other like-minded groups to effectuate policy.
